Located on the edge of the canal, Chanthaburi Opposite the old Chanthaboon community Chanthanimit Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chanthaburi Province This current cathedral is the fifth consecrated by the French Archbishop Emil August Gombet on January 10, 1909, and was built by Father Perigal. Originally, the sanctuary was attached to the spire of the two bell towers, but during the Second World War in 1940, the government ordered that it be demolished for the reason that it was a bombing target from a fighter plane. Until after the war ended, it was installed again on December 11, 2009. The temple is over 109 years old.
